    Entry Agreement:

    Participants agree to be bound by and comply with all tournament rules and regulations as published and amended. It is understood that all participants enter at their own risk and FinnSeeker it's administration, it's civilian staff, any individual or legal entity, any public, semi-public or private administration that has contributed in any way to the preparation, composition or promulgation of FinnSeeker, the tournament and of any related information or documentation, hereby disclaim any overall liability arising from any inappropriate actions, furthermore, neither Finnseeker, nor members of it's International Staff shall be held liable for any financial or other consequences whatsoever arising from such inappropriate actions and damages. Moreover, Finnseeker reserves the right to initiate any legal action it shall deem necessary. FinnSeeker undertakes no responsibility for any losses. You also agree to sign the waiver at the Captains meeting of limited liability or your entry will not be valid.

    The consultation or use of FinnSeeker shall automatically imply full acceptance of the above disclaimer of liability and as the boat owner/Captain you accept full and all liability and responsibilities caused.

    Agreement and release from Liability & Waiver

    1.    I ________________________________acknowledge that I have voluntarily agreed to participate in the Finnseeker 2007 Tournament in and off the Coastal Waters of California.

    Assumption of Risk

    2.  I AM AWARE THAT SPORT FISHING AND MOTORIZED BOATS ARE A HAZERDOUS ACTIVITY. I AM VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THESE ACTIVITIES WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER INVOLVED, AND I AGREE TO ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH, AND VERIFY THIS STATEMENT BY PLACING MY INITIALS HERE _________.

    2.    As consideration for being permitted by Finnseeker its associates and affiliates or one of its affiliated organizations, dealers or sales agents to participate in these activities, I agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians and legal representatives will not make a claim whatsoever against, sue, or attach the property of Finnseeker or any of its affiliated organizations, dealers or sales agents, or the suppliers of any of the equipment I will use in this activity, for injury or damage resulting from negligence or other acts, however caused, by any employee, agent , dealer, representatives or any of its affiliate organizations as a result of my participation in boating and fishing in the Finnseeker Tournament. I hereby release Finnseeker and any of its affiliated organizations and sponsors from all actions, or legal claim or any claim, or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, and legal participation in boating and fishing in the Finnseeker  tournament.     3. Knowing and Voluntary Execution: I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and Finnseeker  and or its affiliated organizations, dealers and sales agents and sign of my own free will. Teams or team members do all agree to undergo and submit to a full Polygraph : if there is a protest filed or asked by any tournament official or committee member. Failure to submit to or pass the Polygraph by any team or member will be an automatic disqualification from the entire tournament and ALL money/prizes forfeited. If any team member fails the polygraph the whole team will be responsible for the costs of the polygraphs.  Tournament officials  reserve the right to change and amend these rules at anytime.     Rules and Regulations:

    PLEASE NOTE additional rules & regulations will be added. Final Rules & Regulations will be given at the Captain's Meeting and explained in detail.

    1. At least one representative from each crew must attend the Captain's Meeting, Friday May 11th , 6.00pm Dana Fuel Docks

    2. Threshers only. One shark per boat. Minimum weight 200 lbs for Threshers and 2 points per lb over 200lbs , all released threshers 200 points per release

    3. No Tournament boundaries.

    4. This event is run in accordance w/all current state and federal rules and regulations.

    5. Fishing days will be Saturday May 12th, 2007 between  6.00am -6.00pm.

    6. All boats must start from and return to Dana Point Harbour. All boats will be issued a boat # @ time of registration.

    7. Boats may not pass the harbour entrance before 6.000 am

    8. Weigh station will open @ 4:00 pm. Participants are responsible for getting their shark to the weigh-in themselves. Scales will close @ 7:00 pm .

    9. All sharks must be caught on rod & reel tournament rules

    10. Any number of anglers permited per team

    11. Boats shall observe all international navigation rules while fishing.

    12. POSITIVELY NO TRANSFERRING OF SHARKS BETWEEN VESSELS.

    13. Sharks to be weighed in should be brought to the scales in their natural state.

    14. The Tournament Committee has the right to retain all eligible sharks for internal inspection by the Tournament Committee and/or a marine biologist.

    15. VHF, Channel 65 will be used for all tournament related communications. Please keep it clear. Channel 70 will be utilized as a first alternate.

    16. All contestants participate, fish, at their own risk! The Captain and crew are solely responsible for all decisions and prize disbersment

    17. There is no "Weather Day". Any Captain concerned about the safety of his crew and vessel due to severe weather conditions - Maritime law prevails.

    18. The Tournament may be cancelled, postponed, or extended to other dates by the Tournament Committee.

    19. In the event that the Tournament is cancelled, or no eligible sharks are landed, winners will be determined by a drawing from a hat. There will be no refunds.

    20. In the case of a tie, the first fish weighed in will take the position.

    21. Winner take all - only one place

    22. All Tournament Committee decisions are final.

    23. Checks or Cash will be made out to the team Captains name listed on the application form.

    24. Every boat entered must be equipped with a working VHF radio and all USCG mandatory safety equipment.

    25. Captain's and crew are responsible to read and understand these Rules & Regulations.

    26. All contestants must read these rules and regulations and agree to abide by them.
