It is understood that all participants enter at their own risk and FinnSeeker it's administration, it's civilian staff, any individual or legal entity, any public, semi-public or private administration that has contributed in any way to the preparation, composition or promulgation of FinnSeeker, the tournament and of any related information or documentation, hereby disclaim any overall liability arising from any inappropriate actions, furthermore, neither Finnseeker, nor members of it's International Staff shall be held liable for any financial or other consequences whatsoever arising from such inappropriate actions and damages. Moreover, Finnseeker reserves the right to initiate any legal action it shall deem necessary. FinnSeeker undertakes no responsibility for any losses. You also agree to sign the waiver at the Captains meeting of limited liability or your entry will not be valid. NOTE additional rules & regulations will be added. Final Rules
& Regulations will be given at the Captain's Meeting and explained
in detail. 2.
Threshers only. One shark per boat. Minimum weight 200 lbs for
Threshers and 2 points per lb over 200lbs , all released threshers 200
points per release 3. No Tournament boundaries. 4. This event is run in accordance w/all current state and federal rules and regulations. 5. Fishing days will be Saturday May 10th, 2008 between 6.00am -6.00pm. 6. All boats must start from and return to Dana Point Harbour. All boats will be issued a boat # @ time of registration. 7. Boats may not pass the harbour entrance before 6.000 am 8.
Weigh station will open @ 4:00 pm. Participants are responsible for
getting their shark to the weigh-in themselves. Scales will close @
7:00 pm . 9. All sharks must be caught on rod & reel tournament rules 10. Any number of anglers permited per team 11. Boats shall observe all international navigation rules while fishing. 12. POSITIVELY NO TRANSFERRING OF SHARKS BETWEEN VESSELS. 13. Sharks to be weighed in should be brought to the scales in their natural state. 14.
The Tournament Committee has the right to retain all eligible sharks
for internal inspection by the Tournament Committee and/or a marine
biologist. 15.
VHF, Channel 65 will be used for all tournament related communications.
Please keep it clear. Channel 70 will be utilized as a first alternate.

All contestants participate, fish, at their own risk! The Captain and
crew are solely responsible for all decisions and prize disbersment 17.
There is no "Weather Day". Any Captain concerned about the safety of
his crew and vessel due to severe weather conditions - Maritime law
prevails. 18. The Tournament may be cancelled, postponed, or extended to other dates by the Tournament Committee. 19.
In the event that the Tournament is cancelled, or no eligible sharks
are landed, winners will be determined by a drawing from a hat. There
will be no refunds. 20. In the case of a tie, the first fish caught during the day will take the position. 21. Winner 65% of the Cash , 2nd place 25% and 3rd place 10% 22. All Tournament Committee decisions are final. 23. Checks or Cash will be made out to the team Captains name listed on the application form. 24. Every boat entered must be equipped with a working VHF radio and all USCG mandatory safety equipment. 25. Captain's and crew are responsible to read and understand these Rules & Regulations. 26. All contestants must read these rules and regulations and agree to abide by them. 27. USD $ 500.00 per team entry Cash only- no side bets or jackpots |
