Will be in Cabo fishing and reporting from Cabo till 1st June

26th May 2000
Yellowtail off Dana point 15 miles out under paddies boats coming in by midday
maxed out with 12-20lb yellows , live bait with sardines. Albies 6 miles south of 425

25th May 2000
The season has really gotten off yellowtail 2 miles outside
oceanside under the paddies and at 33:19.37 and 117:37.70. also lots of threshers
Turns were diving and football fields of bait with water temp up
64 degrees. One boat had 4 threshers on board and several yellows
All caught trolling on the surface, no fish took any downrigger.
100 lb Finning Mako at 33:14.75 & 117:35.6

24th May 2000
Warmer water 12 miles off the point and Domes
Kelp paddies holding 12-18 lb Yellowtails
Barries and Thresher sharks off The Domes
40lb white sea bass took a lure in 200 ft of water
while trolling a live mac.

23rd May 2000
Cold water Temp 59 no bait no threshers no barries
blowing from the south. First swordie baited in the channel
between Clemente and Catalina. Two marlin/sleepers
baited early off the 181
 

21st May 2000
Big bait balls off Dana Harbor lots of good Barries
Several Thresher's caught in over 250 lbs, one boat
had 3 on board. Yellow action still wide open 2 miles
off the point Temp 63.4

20th May 2000
3 Thresher sharks caught off Dana and the Hospital
Barries off the point 2 miles straight out
Yellows mixed in
First Albies caught 50 miles out ( 4 on jig strike)

19th May 2000
Yellows still biting and now mixed in with the barries
two miles off Dana Point
Thresher sharks and Mako's mixed in
Look for Paddies for the bigger Yellows
18th May 2000

14 lbs and 26 lbs
